16/52 – Knife

This is the first time I’ve really showcased my electric guitar playing style on this blog. It’s also only the second time (after I Don’t Want to be Arrested) that I haven’t used any acoustic guitar and the only time I’ve used two electric guitars. I wrote the vocal line walking home from work and the rest of the song kindof wrote itself, or improvised itself, which might be more accurate. Aside from the very ending, most of the tracks were laid down without really knowing what was gonna happen and when. It’s a fun way to work.

I dedicate this song to Blaine Lavigne, Andy Robinet, Fedora Monstercock, and Richard Hell.
