For all we know, maybe this blog post was my form of channeling end-of-the-world anxiety into creative energy. But hopefully we’ve both learned from our mistake and climbed one rung up the later away from idiocy.

i guess i qualify as an idiot, because if i’m completely honest i did have some anxiety over the possible end of the world. sometimes you can know something is ridiculous and far-fetched, but if you hear enough ranting about it, it worms its way into your brain and starts needling you on some absurd emotional level. kind of like what happens when you fall in love with someone you know you should really be running away from while screaming profanities and tearing off your clothes.

or maybe that’s just me.

but hey, we’re still here. and as it turned out, i was able to channel that anxiety into an unexpected burst of furious creative energy that resulted in writing almost 14,000 words of a projected novel or novella in a little over a week. i didn’t see that coming. maybe i should write a blog post about that at some point, just for the halibut.

the point is, creative energy is a funny thing, and asparagus has never caused me any harm.
